A. On average our clients spent about $800 in legal fees with us.²

A. We always include your legal fees, court costs and interest in any claim.

A. The court may award up to 15% of the claim amount towards your legal fees.

A. Court fees for the above steps: Plaintiff’s Claim $75; Request for Trial $100.

A. About 80% of defended actions get resolved at Settlement Conferences.²

A. About 5% of our cases go all the way to trial.²

A. About 15% of our cases don’t move forward due to debtor bankruptcy, disappearance, etc.²

 


[1] NOTE: The above fees and services are intended for creditors with liquidated claims only and in many cases are the only steps that are necessary.  In the event a Defence is not filed then neither a Settlement Conference nor a Trial will be necessary and a Default Judgment (not shown) may be obtained instead.  Also not shown are motions, enforcement proceedings, defendant’s claims or extraordinary hearings.  Trial fee is per day with most trials lasting only one day.  Prices are for legal services only and exclusive of disbursements and applicable HST.  All of our services are subject to our “General Conditions of Service” as stated on the back of our Retainer Agreements and Invoices.

Special Exceptions: An additional fee may apply if we are retained after someone else has already prepared a Plaintiff’s Claim or if a matter involves multiple Defendants, multiple issues, contracts involving multiple pages or account reconciliation.
